“General our scouts have spotted a column of Punks twelve kilometers to the north,” reported Gaius. “We have word that there are at least two aliens in the group, and they are making haste in our direction” he continued.
“Form up with the Sea on our right flank and the forested hill to our left. I want the Cheetah gang on the wings and the Vietnam helmets front and center. I want the Bandoliers to form our second line and the Death Bots and Robots as our third and final line. Get the Seaman’s Hats on the water with instructions to sail up shore at least 8 klicks before landing to get to the Punks rear. We are gonna have them surrounded before they can even set up formation,” replied Scipio. Scipio was a veteran of the Meebit War of 2021 and was a great student of military history. He had ascended the ranks of the Bored Ape military over the course of that war and was already imagining the triumph he would surely get after he successfully drove the Punks off the top of the Blockchain.
The Punks had other plans.
The Punks started the war on the wrong foot, they had vast resources and many powerful allies, and thus could not appreciate the scale of the threat that the Bored Apes posed to them. The Punks had always been on top and most had found it incomprehensible to imagine them ever not being on top. A few sharp losses at the beginning of the war quickly disabused them of that notion. The generals they started the war with were quickly replaced by more sober leadership who knew better than to underestimate their foes.
As the Seaman’s Hats made their way up the shore to surprise the Punks in their rear, the Punks had a clever plan of their own. A Zombie-lead cohort was maneuvering through the forest with aims to emerge out of the woods and surprise the Bored Ape’s left flank at the start of the battle.
By the time the battle was over the the Ape’s would count many more Halos in their ranks, and the Punks were going to have to bury an alien. By the time the war was over nothing would ever be the same……
