Hey Jamie! Thanks for this post, it was pretty good. I vibe with the idea of constantly improving yourself through practice. Am doing the same thing :)

Would love to get one of your practice pieces!! 0x7a92b3C7433004cC088f4E97c7d2155C941d9B56

Would love to hear more about getting an eth address and what the best approach is. Currently have a piece of Nifty Gateway and then a bunch of Top Shot moments if that makes a difference

Download metamask at metamask.io. They have a chrome extension, an ios app, and an android app. I mostly use the chrome extension. After that you open up Metamask and it will ask you if you're importing an existing wallet or setting up a new one. Then once you click that you're setting up a new one it'll all be pretty self explanatory. You're gonna get a 12-word seed phrase. Write that down on a piece of paper and don't lose it, do not store that 12-word seed phrase on any computer, phone, tablet, etc.

Awesome thanks! 0xaA63ed7b52bc0c03e4C53aF307069C98530B3b94 I’ll take a super psychedelic one sometime in the future! No rush!

Couple more questions. Is it more secure to store my NFTs in my personal wallet on metamask instead of in NiftyGateway for instance? I assume I pay some gas fee to send it from NG?

Next up is to buy a domain I guess. Thanks for all the advice! Love the sub stack. Can’t wait for the podcast

I've never used NiftyGateway or read much about it; that said I always recommend people take their crypto security into their own hands.

It's hard for Nifty to care as much about your shit not getting compromised as you should care. It's hard for scammers to be as motivated to compromise Zakary Burns as it is for them to compromise NiftyGateway. That's just sort of how I think about that kind of thing.

It might be effectively the same though because likely NiftyGateway is just giving you an eth address and they don't have the keys or control of it in anyway, but again I don't actually know what's going on there.
